The room was lovely, clean, spacious and very stunning. The place was always clean the service was always first class and nothing was too much trouble. Surrounding area is also quite wild and quiet so when I miss wilderness I will definitely be back! It is less than 1 hour from Sandton, so it is great day trip for weekend as well. Their menu is like "typical South African" restaurant menu, cooked with care and pretty quick too. If you are there during rainy season, you can see lots of lightenings at night. It is facing west so great for sunset, sundowners. Their restaurant is located on top of hill and the view is stunning. Giraffe was pregnant but did not have baby when I was there. I saw zebra, blesbuck, impala, and warthog babies and some of them were only few days old. I visited Glen Afric December 2011 when it was herbivores baby season.
They separate carnivore in different enclosures and there are numbers of beautiful lions, white lion, cheetahs and some hyena as well. Glen Afric work with many international film crews making commercials and dramas so some of the animals are trained and work with people all the time. Glen Afric has got many beautiful animals in their farm including some tamed animals you can interact. There are several small scale game farms around Johannesburg/ Pretoria area but I would recommend Glen Afric as the best game farm in the area especially to travelers who do not have lots of time but want to have a good look of animals.
